Our first festival at The Pinehills in Plymouth, MA featured eight trucks…and 4,000 people showed up. We were stunned. Then came our second. 12 trucks and 6,000 people. Then our third. 18 trucks and 10,000 people. At that point, we knew we were onto something big. Fast forward 10 years later...here we are!

	Avon Corn Festival - 38th Annual Avon, NY - Downtown Show Dates: 8/09/2025 to 8/09/2025 avonrotary.org The Avon Rotary Corn Festival is our club’s largest annual fundraiser, which has truly emerged as a major community event. When the club first began planning a community festival in 1986, we chose to celebrate corn because of its impact on our region. Corn has been a staple of our agricultural heritage ever since the days Native Americans grew corn here as one of the “three sisters,” including beans and squash. The Festival, held every year on the second Saturday in August, draws thousands of people from our region to see friends, browse arts and crafts, listen to a wide range of music on three separate stages, play games, eat lots of food, participate in our annual corn eating contest and enjoy the day. In 2018, more than 130 craft vendors and about 25 food vendors participated in our Festival. The Festival culminates in a large outdoor concert by a popular party band from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Many food vendors continue to serve concert attendees throughout the evening.
