	Allen Park Arts & Crafts Street Fair - 43rd Annual Allen Park, MI Show Dates: 8/01/2025 to 8/02/2025 allenparkstreetfair.org Allen Park Arts & Crafts Street Fair - 33rd Annual Allen Park, MI August 1 & 2, 2014 This show is just about four miles up the road from Wyandotte. Its a real nice, easy setup the day before and parking is close and easy too. The show has been going on for years and the committee really knows what they are doing! Everything about the event is professional and as a result, everything runs just like clockwork. Right from the beginning the sales were great! We made all expenses and a reasonable profit within just a few hours of the show starting up and we still had 90% of the event ahead of us. Saturdays sales were decent and steady all day long and then just as the show was about to close we had a big, dark cloud approach the show and a torrential rainstorm just unleashed on everyone. Lots of wind and lots of rain tore up quite a few canopies and the show looked like a disaster area. The police had dispersed everyone because of the lightning and it was a good thing because there is no doubt someone would have gotten hurt. Some people went home for the night, but we dried everything out and got right back to business... and Im glad we did because for some reason right after the storm we sold like crazy! Maybe it should rain like this at every show. For 45 minutes until the show closed we just couldnt take the money fast enough. There were times during the day on Saturday that it was a little sluggish, but boy that buying rush on Saturday evening after the storm made it a fantastic day! The Allen Park show is a real good show. The event is a nice craft show made up of about 250 booths which is a nice mix of local exhibitors and some out of town people like us. We understand that next year they plan on going with Zapplication. Were a bit concerned that this will change the appeal of the show because there are a lot of small time local exhibitors too that provide a hometown feel to the show. Weve seen this happen in the past and a lot of times these local people get eliminated from the event and then their following goes down the road too. I guess sometimes it does work but since this show is so successful it seems foolish to mess with a successful formula that has resulted in a great show!
	Coast Guard Craft Fair - 62nd Annual Grand Haven, MI - Central Park Show Dates: 8/01/2025 to 8/02/2025 grandhavenchamber.org/coast-guard-craft-fair The Coast Guard Craft Fair is held in conjunction with the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival, and takes place the first weekend in August. Over 150 crafters from around the state and nation set up their handmade products in Central Park, downtown Grand Haven for the two day show. The festival unofficially began in 1924 as a Coast Guard personnel only picnic when the local Coast Guard station held rowing competitions for those service members stationed in Grand Haven. Today the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival has become a premier event with attendance of over 350,000 people including the nations highest ranking Coast Guard dignitaries from Washington, D.C. The focus of the annual Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival is the National Coast Guard Memorial Service honoring those who sacrificed their lives in the service of their country while fulfilling their motto "SEMPER PARATUS" ("Always Ready"). Each year since the first picnic in 1924 and the first festival in 1937, we have celebrated our heroes, the men and women of the United States Coast Guard with fun filled family events at the annual Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival. Grand Haven is honored by its designation as "Coast Guard City, USA" by an Act of Congress and signed by the President of the United States on November 13, 1998. Successfully honoring the men and women of the United States Coast Guard at this annual event would not be possible without the cooperation of the United States Coast Guard, the local municipalities of Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Ferrysburg, hundreds of dedicated volunteers and our generous corporate sponsors.
